Lushpad

An extremely ambitious, interesting and slick new site called Lushpad launched in Vancouver over the weekend. Lushpad aims to be an online home for collectors of modern and vintage furniture as well as fine art. Or “part gallery, part auction house and part design magazine,” as Lushpad owner Melanie Carlson puts it. For way way cheaper than eBay, with no hidden charges, you can list your rarities for sale. Wanted ads or ads Items under $250 are free, items ranging between $250 to $800 will cost you $8 to list, anything over $800 only cost $12 to list. Lushpad will also be publishing monthly features on designers and artists for as well as articles for collectors, both new and old. It’s free to sign up and when you do so, if you tick the little box to receive the Lushpad newsletter, you’ll be entered to win a licensed original Eames molded plywood chair worth over $750.
